The Municipal Stadium of Kalamata is the venue which hosts “Papaflessia” Athletics Meeting from 1985 until today.

 Municipal Kalamata Stadium: the Competition Venue
The Municipal Stadium of Kalamata was built in the late 1970s and is located on the southeast side of the city. It belongs to the Municipality of Kalamata and is the most important sports pole in the area, hosting hundreds of athletes on a daily basis.

Numerous individual and team sports are cultivated and developed in the facilities of the Municipal Stadium through the sports clubs of the city. In 1976 the two stands were created and the track area was formed. In 1983 the track surface was installed, while in 2001 the four floodlights surrounding the main racing facility were installed. A new track was installed in 2020 resulting in the substantial upgrade of the Municipal Stadium.
